The Kindhearted Boy and the Enchanted Kingdom
Once upon a time, in a faraway village, there lived three brothers. The elder two were clever but proud, while the youngest was kind and gentle. They often mocked him, calling him foolish because he was always helping others.
One day, the three brothers set off on an adventure to find a hidden treasure said to be buried in the Enchanted Kingdom. As they walked through the forest, they saw a wounded bird struggling to fly. The elder brothers laughed and walked past it, but the youngest stopped and carefully wrapped the bird’s wing with his scarf.
Further along, they reached a river where a small fish was caught in a net. The elder brothers wanted to leave it, but the youngest brother gently freed the fish and let it swim away.
Finally, they entered a dark cave, where they saw a tiny mouse trapped under a rock. The youngest brother lifted the rock and let the mouse go.
At last, they arrived at the Enchanted Kingdom, where a wise old wizard stood before them. He gave them a challenge: “Whoever opens the golden chest will win the treasure. But beware—choosing the wrong key will turn you into stone.”
The elder brothers quickly grabbed random keys and tried to open the chest, but both failed and turned to stone. The youngest brother hesitated, not knowing which key to pick. Just then, the bird he had saved flew in, carrying a golden feather. The fish jumped out of the river, holding a shiny pearl. The mouse scurried forward with a tiny golden key.
The boy took the key from the mouse and unlocked the chest. Inside, he found a magical potion that turned his brothers back to life. The wizard smiled and said, “Your kindness has won you the greatest treasure of all—wisdom and compassion.”
The three brothers returned home, and the elder ones never called their younger brother foolish again. From that day on, they all learned that kindness is the true key to happiness.
Moral: Kindness and compassion always bring great rewards.

Simpleton! Summary

The story is about three cousins—two older brothers who consider themselves clever and their younger cousin, whom they mockingly call “Simpleton” because of his quiet and kind nature.
One day, while walking, they come across an ant hill, a lake with ducks, and a bee’s nest. The older brothers want to destroy the ant hill, catch a duck, and burn the bees’ nest, but the Simpleton stops them, showing kindness to the creatures.
Later, they arrive at a mysterious castle where an old man gives them three difficult tasks. The first two brothers fail and are turned into stone. When it is the Simpleton’s turn, the ants he saved earlier help him find a thousand pearls, the ducks retrieve a lost key from the lake, and the queen bee helps him identify the youngest princess.
With these tasks completed, the castle is freed from its curse, and those turned to stone, including his brothers, become human again. In the end, his brothers no longer see him as a fool, realizing that kindness and goodness are more valuable than mere cleverness.
